Obituary of William Crocitto

William Peter Crocitto, Sr. of Amityville, passed away on February 2, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Anne for 64 years. Loving father to Lori, William, Jr. (Victoria), Peter (JoAnn), Nicholas (Debbie), AnneMarie (Guy) and Anthony (Kristin). Cherished grandfather to 18. Adored Great Grandfather to 11. Proud Korean War Veteran. The family will receive friends Sunday, February, 14, 2021 and Monday, February 15, 2021 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm at the funeral home. Wake prayers will be conducted Monday evening at 7:30 pm to be followed by a VFW service conducted by the Commander and members of the Wade Burns VFW Post #7279 at 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 10:30 am in St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Long Island National Cemetery, E. Farmingdale. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (50% which equals 63 people at a time in the chapel/building at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
