I moved into my house on Wellington Place in Amityville in 1982. I met Albie sometime later, when he, Lani,, her mom and dad and daughter, Jennifer moved in across the street.
Albie had a big red Dodge Ram that had loud fog horn. The kids in the neighborhood loved it. He went to work early every morning and got back in the middle of the afternoon. I was working in Amityville Schools so I was home by middle afternoon also.
We both had the blessing of having comfortable front porches. I loved sitting out there and so did Albie. Eventually we started sitting together on my front porch. We would recall our day at work and talk about everybody who walked by. We did that a couple of days a week for a long time. It was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
I finally got a full time job and we both got very busy. So those times became fewer. I missed them but we still managed to talk often.
As Albie's Parkinson's worsened most of our porch time was done on his porch. He was a good friend and we talked about everything. When Albie finally went to the nursing home, I missed him terribly. Now I will miss him forever. With fond and loving memories, Janie Seiman

To My Beloved Husband,
I miss you so. You left this Earth plane on March 18, 2024, you made it to your 85th birthday. I know you are now in Paradise, walking with God through fields of beautiful Spring flowers. You are healed, young bathed in the living waters, free to drive a beautiful big rig through the Universe. Plot a course of love and joy so we can take a fantastic journey when it’s my time to join you. I always had so much fun on our road trips, I know you’ll plan a doozy.
Although I wanted to be there to hold you in my arms when you left, you chose to spare me that grief. I’m sure you had many loving souls guiding you to Heaven. Go with love and joy to God’s Paradise, until we meet again...I love you always.
Sweet Lei Lani
