I am sorry to hear about the passing of my friend Jerry. I had met him at several of the USS SIGSBEE reunions. My uncle was a shipmate on the DD-502, on April 14, 1945 he was KIA and Jerry was wounded a Kamikaze struck the ship. Jerry and I used to talk on the phone once in awhile and via email. He was definitely one of the most enjoyable of the 'old salts to be around at the SIGSBEE reunions. For your information I have a web site honoring the ship and sailors that includes lots of photos and ships history @ http://sjkids.scottsburg.com/
My prayers for the family.
